NCR Solutions are able to provide support and consultancy for the HP3000 range of servers from HP, our engineers having spent over 15 years supporting servers within HP. We can assist with support your HP3000 past the obsolescence of MPE/iX in 2006, or provide system management functions in the interim whilst you transition to alternate technology.
Typically we can help with routine maintenance, backups, scheduling, tuning, upgrades, configuration and general operational/system management tasks including BRS/DRP rehearsals.
We have used almost all of the subsystems available with MPE/iX including TurboStore (including OLB), Query, DButil, Editor/TDP, NMMGR (including host and PC-based DTC configuration), JCL/command files, Sysgen, online/offline diagnostics via Sysdiag and ISL utilities such as Install and Update.
Our experience of 3rd party tools includes, but is not limited to, MPEX, Unispool, Transpooler, JobPak, Maestro, Security/3000, Adager and Backup/3000. We also have some limited experience of MM/3000 and it's internal scheduling system.
Additionally we have the HP certification1 for MPE i/X.
